It’s best to book this hotel through Agoda. Standard/Deluxe room costs as from 26/30 Euros, 30/35 Euros (including fees). The walk-in prices are much higher. I got the hotel car to pick me up from the airport; this service cost me 12 USD but its reliable and works.
The location is not bad, central, good if you’re a night owl, also for daytime activities. The “Walkabout”, “Heart of Darkness” and “Pontoon” discos, all know as place where you can get off with a tart and the connected bars, are just round the corner. The central market is about five minutes walk away.
The hotel and rooms recommendable, everything is new and very clean, the service is good (very friendly and on the ball). Food can be ordered (room service until the evening) and is good; this also applies to the breakfast buffet (included in the price).
As usual in Cambodia this hotel is also girl friendly, meaning you can take your tart up to your room without any problems. However, they do insist that tarts are registered down at the reception; they must have their ID with them. This can be seen as an advantage (security). If the girl has no means of ID then you have to sign a form.
I had a deluxe room on the top floor. The furnishing in all rooms is OK, my room was bright, the view good and the noise (There is always street noise in PNH) wasn’t too bad with the room being high up. The internet WiFi signal was just average, but worked swiftly and without any problems. The safe is large enough for equipment such as cameras and/or computer. There is a smoke alarm and a sprinkler. Unfortunately the aircon blew directly onto the bed, which couldn’t really be avoided even after adjusting. They provide a bathrobe and a pair of slippers.
The bathroom is large and equipped with all one needs (large sink/shelf and shower cabin). Some rooms have a balcony.
All of the pics are from deluxe rooms, apart from the last pic: a view into a suite with two rooms.
The bottom line: Would stay here again. As far as I’m concerned the best place to stay in Phnom Penh at the price, especially if booking through Agoda on the internet.
