Booked this place at the airport for three nights to start off with, price, 3950 Baht, was worth every Baht as well, especially when comparing it with the Weekender in Lamai. Extended my stay for a further week but was not able to haggle the price down. They told me that the official price was 4600 Baht but were able to offer me the airport price for the extra week. Anyway, they were booked out every day as well. Ok, thanks a lot, and ok, was true as well. One is able to book this place through Meiers Weltreisen in Germany for about 50 Euros, which is quite a bit cheaper; I would call it a bargain at that price. Take a look at the homepage; there are various room categories and seasonal prices. The facility is very generously arranged and although the bungalows are quite close to each other one is not able to hear the neighbours. The vegetation within the facility is comparable with a jungle. Apart from the fact that it is mainly Farang couples who book this place, sex tourists such as myself and my mate who turn up for breakfast (very good) with native company are quite a rarity and are also seen as such. Some people couldn’t shut their mouths again, chins just hit the deck. The pool is very nice, even though it is not frequented very often, well, the sea is not that far away at all, it’s just waiting there and inviting one to jump into the nice warm waves. The sweeping beach itself is also very nice. The use of loungers is free of charge for hotel guests, apart from that they have stretched a cord around the sunbathing area, the beach peddlers are not allowed to enter this area meaning that one will not be bothered by irritating people trying to sell their goods. One is also able to take a swim at night, that’s if one is not bothered about the beach security watching from the beach, but what are they going to see anyway…. The bungalows are very well furnished, all in brown, sort of island style in wood and bamboo. The air conditioning is immaculate, fridge, TV and bathroom, no complaints at all, apart from the four-poster that kept on banging on the wall during certain activities, fastened it by using a towel ;-) The personnel are extremely friendly and make a great effort, they are also very discrete. I would definitely visit this place again! |
