Beach: Can only describe as the highest of quality, fantastic clear water, the sand gleaming white and of course the sand is very fine.

The “trail” that runs beside the long wide beach is always full of life. This is where one meets everyone and everything. All sorts of restaurants, bars, shops, yes even an ATM can be found here (Just behind the Regency, more ATMs in the town). The atmosphere is simply, this applies for the whole island, cheerful and friendly, it always seems to be Sunday, the people here are always in a good mood. This even applies to the islands natives; I was smiled at in a friendly way wherever I went. Due to tourism (After all Boracay is one of the international dream destinations) there now seems to be a certain degree of wealth even amongst the poorer class. Criminals? Forget it, completely safe here.

Down the trail during various times of day and night:

Night-times: After about 10 or 11 in the evening everyone goes down to the Cocomangas (Hotel with a sort of open air disco). The place is always full of freelancers and hobby-whores (Could vary depending on the season).

I asked about the prices, one of them wanted 3000 for a bout of long time, may have been able to haggle though. Is still cheaper than bringing one with from elsewhere and one is also able to enjoy more freedom. Paid 1500 a few times for short-time, could have got it cheaper but with the chick waiting in the hotel I didn’t have all that much time to haggle. The problem: The short-time hotels are rat-holes and very expensive. (Starts off at about 1000 – 1500). One has to ask for a towel and soap and as I have already mentioned, filthy holes. But when there solo, one has ones own hotel room and is not dependent on those rip-offs.
