Part 9

Bangkok

Sure, Bangkok has slackened off in a certain way; the Gogos in Patpong have been pretty much ruined for some years now, no good to us. The NANA has seen better times and the Soi Cowboy, in comparison to the rest of Thailand, has much too high prices and the service is not much at all. Too many idiots have let the girls take the piss, pricewise…. However, there is a little something for everyone in this town and there is nothing at all that isn’t available. If one knows of a few good places to go to then one can have a pretty good time in the mega metropolis.

Stopped over in the Grand President again (Sukhumvit Rd Soi 11):

Grand President

This hotel has many advantages: Is situated very central, rooms with a large safe, internet, a number of pools and fantastic service – absolutely guest friendly. Tried to book via the internet without any success: I painstakingly tried to book a room (About 2800 Baht, there are also cheaper rooms) but on arrival they told me that they hadn’t received the booking, apart from that they were fully booked out. After a bit of to and fro, the very nice lady at the reception did manage to find one for me. A two room suite for 3300 Baht (Promotion). Well, that was a bit of luck, felt very comfortable there.

Room, pool, outside view:

In front of the FOODLAND 24 h Supermarket down Soi 5:

Patpong during the day, more dismal than adventurous...

The BarBar sign, an S/M place, in which I spent a few inspiring hours...

In the BarBar: Nice views are on offer...

Take a look at their homepage for a few impressions:

BarBar

Bar just behind the NANA: Bus stop...

It’s really nice sitting around the NANA outside area as from about five or six in the evening... This is the time when all the ‘Beauties of the Night’ turn up to get the best site for working... Pure tension.

Final part following soon.
